Hi, my name is Jeff Miiller. My wife Tessa and I live south of Mt. Vernon with our 3 boys: Sawyer (4), Dawson (2) and Noah (7 mo.). My family has been a part of the community for generations, and I look forward to our future generations also being a part of this great community and school district. I am proud to be a 5th generation farmer raising crops and cattle in this area.
I have a long history with the Mt Vernon School District as I am a 2009 graduate of MVHS, I have been serving on the school board for the last 5 years, and with three young boys we will be active in the school for many years to come. I take pride in my roll on the board of education as it is my way of ensuring that Mt. Vernon continues as a strong school district, not only for the students of today but for our students of the future. When making decisions on the school board, I not only think of how it will impact what is happening now, but also how it will impact the longevity of the school.
I firmly believe that Mt. Vernon has one of the very best staff and faculty around. It is easy to see that everyone has a common goal of doing what is best for the kids and school. Mt. Vernon recently just won its third consecutive CBH academic festival, the art program has been a top placer in the state the last few years, the athletic programs have all been very competitive, and the music program is top notch. There is a great foundation already set and I look forward to being a part of its future success.
I enjoy serving on the school board and look forward to the opportunity to continue that service to our community. Please consider getting out to vote on April 11th.
