Deb Stoltz:
My name is Deb Stoltz and I have been a member of the Mount Vernon School District School Board for 9 years. I have enjoyed my time on the School Board and the other members I have served with.
I grew up in Elgin Nebraska where I met and married my high school sweetheart, Bob. We moved around in Nebraska trying to find our happy place and had 3 children in the process. In 2007 we moved to Maryland to follow an employment opportunity for Bob, which then led us to South Dakota in 2009. We arrived here in July with our 3 children.... Dani Jo, Tony, and Jordan. Jordan is now finishing up his sophomore year and the only one left at home......well, Bob is still here.
I started working for Navigant, now called Guidehouse, in June of 2011 and still enjoy my employment with them. We've been working from our homes for over a year now and no plans yet of when we will be going back. Bob has been working for Trail King a few months longer than Ive been with Guidehouse.
We plan to spend our summer camping, fishing and golfing....and Jordan will take up a lot of our time chasing calf shows with 4-H and summer basketball.
We are so glad that in 2009 we chose the small community of Mount Vernon to buy a house and settle in, and the school is a big part of that. The school employees and teaching staff are amazing, and through the last year have proven that 100 times over in their concern and dedication to the kids. I would be proud to continue to be a part of the School Board if chosen.
