What makes you MV proud?  The people (students, faculty/staff, parents, and community members) make me MV proud. This is a great school and community and I enjoy being a part of such a wonderful organization.

A teacher who inspired me:

Many teachers have inspired me. Currently, I am taking courses on Evidence-Based Literacy Instructions (EBLI) and the teacher/founder, Nora Chahbazi, is inspiring me to change my approach to teaching reading, writing, and spelling. I’m excited to see how far the students go with this Science of Reading approach to literacy.

You might not know this about me …
Before I had children, I performed in different community theater productions. My two favorites were Nunsense and Dudley Draper's Office Party. I most enjoyed the comradery with the cast and crew.

What are you reading right now?

During the school year, most of my reading time focuses on school-related titles and reading with my children. I just started reading Make It Stick: The Science of Successful Learning. During the summer, I enjoy reading a variety of genres.

What was your favorite subject at school?

My favorite subject is math. In high school, my favorite class was FST (Functions, Statistics, and Trigonometry).  I like that answers are right or wrong with clear step-by-step processes to solve problems.
