A group from Mount Vernon School recently experienced an educational trip to Washington DC. They visited many memorials, went to Gettysburg, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Holocaust Museum, just to mention a few. At the Arlington National Cemetery they were able to visit and pay tribute to Clinton Wermers memorial. John Thune also came out to visit the students and take pictures with them.
This program allows students to visit and learn more about our history. Each student/family member attending had to raise the money to pay for their portion of the trip.
