Mrs. Smith posed the age old question: How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?" Our goal was to see if it took 100 licks, but we had some students who were determined to find out just exactly how many licks it took! They discovered that if they used a different color marker for each "100", they could add up & count exactly how many licks. Their perseverance was impressive! 600, 1000 & 1642 licks were some of the top numbers!
