The MVPCS Baseball team will be traveling to Wagner tonight to take on the Raiders for the first game of the season. Varsity will start at 5:30, followed by the JV.

Congratulations to these great kids who enjoyed Donuts this morning.

Congratulations to our Jazz band and Jazz choir as they placed third in their respected categories. Out of the band, soloists Kaleb Hawk, Christa Glanzer, and Cole Larsch received Outstanding Performer certificates. Great job to all of our musicians.

Reminder - The EZ ID Kit event is sponsored by the Moose Lodge 875 and Women of the Moose 1167 at the Mt Vernon School on March 23rd. This is brought through a partnership with the Safe Surfin' Foundation and Davison County Sheriff's Office.
Flyers with permission slips were sent home last week - in the event you did not receive one please use the attached. The forms need to be completed and returned to the school by Wednesday morning.
Flashdrives will be available for pick up by a parent later that day. These cannot be sent home with a minor child. If this flashdrive is lost it cannot be replaced without going through the process again as all information is deleted once transferred to the flashdrive. If you have any questions please contact the school.
Over the Holidays, Emily and Summer were able to raise over $800 for the Mount Vernon Backpack Blessings. The two students created Christmas decorations that were sold throughout the season. They presented the money today to Mrs. Klooz. We are very proud of these girls, nice work!

Track - Spring 2022 is now open! Find items that have been picked out for this fundraiser with the fans, supporters, and program in mind. There is also spirit-wear available for your family and friends.

Above are three links to watch the game tonight. The first one is from the NFHS and you will have to pay to watch. The 2nd one is to Groton's coverage of the event. The third one is from Liveticket TV, which is the same provider that we use. You can watch whichever one you want, but I would pick the third one. 1. It is free. 2. It will be an unbiased account of the game.
Good Luck to our singers as they perform at the Festival Choir in Mitchell starting @ 4pm.

Voluntary program offered through the Davison County Sheriff and Sharp Law Firm. This will be on March 23rd during school hours. A release will need to be signed by the parents prior to participation.
Please check out who they are and what they are about @ https://safesurfin.org/ or watch a short video about them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aSo3CjwaHY
This process takes less then 10 minutes - done during school hours at the school - thumb drive given to parent/guardian - only information saved by Safe Surfin' Foundation is the release - saves precious time and allows police the best possible chance of locating the missing person.

Come out and support the Titans as they try to punch their ticket to the State Tournament! Game time is set for 7pm at Tea Area High School. Doors will open at 6pm. Go Titans!

Great kids and happy smiles, must be Donut Day! These well-deserving students started off their day with Donuts with the Principal.

Repeat Academic Bowl Champions! Throw in a quiz bowl victory on top of it and that’s a clean sweep!! So proud of our students and staff!!

For the next 4 weeks, the 6-12 graders in MV will be doing this challenge! Scores will be kept and averaged and the winning class will get rewarded. Parents, please visit with your child about their goals, habits, etc!!! It should be a good way to help beat the winter time blues!
