
Kindergarten and 1st grade had their field trip today! We we able to tour Cabelas, play at the park, have story time at the public library and go bowling! Fun was had by all!

There was a great turn out for second and third grade anchor activities.




Some of the seeds in the preschoolers sprout houses are growing! They have been very excited to check on them and see the changes!






Second and third-grade students went on an amazing Mitchell adventure yesterday. First, we toured Q107 Radio Station, next we had lunch at Patton Young Park, then we jumped around at Mega Gymnastics, and last but not least we toured Main Street Mercantile. What a fun day!




There will be a concession sign-up a Thursday at 7:00 just before the concert for anyone who has softball or baseball players.

We are missing grey baseball uniforms for our younger players. If you have the following numbers will you please return them to the office ASAP as we are short jerseys for kids. Thank you. 4, 8, 12, 14, 15, 19, 26, 29, 30, 37, 38, 40. Thank you!

Students in the Elementary Resource Room celebrated spring by making butterflies and then writing about them.





Congratulations to these students who were selected as Mt. Vernon's new National Honor Society members! The inductee ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 10th at 2:00 pm in the TYCC.

Field Day is Friday, May 12th for grades K-8. 8th graders will help run the events. Events will start at 10:30-11:30, resume at 12 and conclude at 1:45 with the final running events and awards. Parents are welcome to attend.

Math night was a success. Thank you to all who attended.



We had 38 students attend the Math Night! Scavenger Hunt, card games, dice games and whole lot of fun! Thanks parents and students for joining us!

MAP testing started today with the second graders doing MAP Reading Fluency. The class was divided up so they could spread out as they read.
