Some announcements (rather lengthy):
The Local One Act Play performance will not be held tonight. It will be held at 6:00 on Monday at the downtown auditorium.
Their regional performance will be at 11:00 on Wednesday at the ACT Theatre in Mitchell.
There is no school for students on Monday - it will be an inservice day for staff.
The Hanson Girls Basketball Classic has been cancelled. We are working with Vermillion to find a reschedule date with them.
The DVC Boys Basketball Classic has been moved to next Saturday, January 20th. Times will be adjusted and we won't know until later.
The JH BBB games in Chamberlain scheduled for Monday will be rescheduled to a later date.
REMINDER - Please be on time for the 4H pickup! We cannot leave students off until you get there. By being late, you are affecting everyone else's ability to get home! The bus is normally there around 3:55 and on Friday it is around 2:15.

The high school quiz bowl team competed in the Q107 radio quiz bowl finals in Mitchell this past Saturday. Team members included (from l to r) Evan Bultsma, Morgan Hoffman, Sabrina Strand, Emilee Fox, and Ryen Leamons. Excellent job finishing in the top 8 this year team!
The Mount Vernon Board of Education meeting that was scheduled for tonight has been postponed. It will be held on Monday, January 15 at 6:00.

We are 3 weeks away from the Kids' Heart Challenge Kickoff. So far, 10 students have been registered, 2 students have started Finn's Mission, and $255 has been raised for the Heart Association. Keep up the good work! More information will come home on January 26th.
