
This week, the fourth and fifth graders are working on analyzing information to determine what is relevant and what is not.


In light of BBB being scheduled to play at 3:00 in the DWU Culver's Classic on February 11, SFC has agreed to adjust the start times of the girls games in Sioux Falls. We will use the following schedule:
C at 3:30
JV at 4:45
Varsity at 6:00

This week in Title Math the 2nd graders are learning how to count money.



Hanson High School is having a fundraiser at the games tomorrow night.

The 5th graders pondered a hard question in band today.



The 5th grade invited the kindergarten and 1st grade to come watch their play “A Window Into History”.





The 8th graders attended a Career Fair in Wagner last week with Ms. Bosma. They visited booths, learned about various careers and participated in hands on activities. It was a fun day!





The physics students are investigating the relationship between centripetal force, the radius, and the tangential velocity of a rotating object.





This winter coat was found in a classroom but nobody is claiming it....contact the office if it belongs to you/your child.


As a part of an empathy lesson the third grade made book marks with positive affirmations.

In science this week, students tested different types of candy to see which ones lost their shape in hot water. They had to decide if the candy was totally solid, partially solid, or melted into a liquid.

The freshmen English students have been reading Romeo and Juliet. Yesterday they competed in a Shakespearean insult contest by dueling their classmates to see who could deliver their line the best.


Kindergarten will be taking a test tomorrow over teen numbers! They made a snowman craft this week, writing the teen number, spelling the number, drawing a tens frame, drawing base ten blocks, and writing the 10+ equation! I have no doubt they will all rock the test tomorrow!





In Preschool, we have been talking about community helpers and different jobs! Preschoolers were busy being construction worker with various building materials-magnatiles are a favorite. They also enjoy playing doctor, house, and driving community helper vehicles on the road rug
