The 4th graders celebrated today by sharing Valentine's with their peers. They took time at home to decorate their boxes!



The JH BBB games are still on. In MV downtown gym at 4:00!

Due to the forecast the schedule for tonight's BBB/GBB DH in Mt. Vernon has changed. There will be no JV games. The varsity girls game will start at 5:00 with the varsity boys to follow. All seniors and Clyde Olsen will be recognized following the girls varsity game.

The Parkston FFA will be hosting a soup supper fundraiser during the Double Header Basketball Game vs MVP on Thursday, February 16th starting at 5:00pm. All proceeds will be donated to the Jason Tiede Family. Cost will be $5 per person.

If you would like to donate eggs or candy you can send them with your child or bring them to the office by March 10, 2023. Some of our elementary students will be stuffing the eggs in their spare time. If you have any questions you can contact the front office.

The 5th graders played math games with the high school today.



Elementary Special Education students and staff voted to make a prediction on who would win the Super Bowl. The Eagles were who was predicted to win the Super Bowl.

2nd & 3rd grade students were excited to attend a Farm Safety Event at the Fair Grounds hosted by CHS Farmer's Alliance. Rebecca Roetman & Lindsey Berg arranged 10 safety stations. We greatly appreciate all the the skills and safety precautions we learned today!

Art Classes





Have you heard of XtraMath? 1st graders use this website to work on our fact fluency! The goal is to answer correctly as fast as possible to earn a smile! We even have one student who has completed the addition and subtraction program and started multiplication today!




In English class, the 7th graders have been finding evidence to support arguments. Today they worked in groups to discuss the evidence and explain why it is or isn't useful, and tomorrow they will face other groups in a friendly competition to see which group chose the best answers and reasoning.
