Hello people of Ethan, Mount Vernon and the surrounding areas in Davison county, South Dakota.
Community awareness post. PLEASE SHARE with FAMILY, FRIENDS, NEIGHBOURS!
My name is Lauris and I am university student from Latvia. I successfully got my state sales license and introduced myself with the sheriff Steve Harr in Davison County sheriff's office.
I am going door to door helping families with their education. Excited to meet all the cool parents, grandparents and teachers around.
I sell educational books & apps with Southwestern Advantage from little babies all the way through high school and ACT preparation.
This is my 5th summer working with the company in USA and I am very, very happy to say I have been able to help over 1400 families with educational resources.
I DO NOT REPRESENT OR AM AFFILIATED with any of the schools.
It is my summer internship and this is the way that I get to pay my way through school.
I sell:
1) Study guides that help parents to help kids with Math & other subjects.
2) Study guides that help children save time doing homework & test
3) Fun and educational kids books from babies till end of elementary school to give them a head start for preschool and kindergarten.
4) Advanced learning materials that help your child excel in AP classes and ACT.
5) Bible library that helps teach the story of the bible from beginning to an end with easy language making it for everyone easy to understand. With a throughout the year daily devotional guide and a parents guide.
6) Personal development coaching to help students learn important success principles such as goal setting, schedule, vision board, momentum vs motivation and many more!
When I knock on your door, then know that I have an accent, please do not be intimidated by that. 😉
If any of my friends in the surrounding counties knows anyone I should talk to here in Hanson County SD, TAG THEM BELOW or write me a private message.
I drive a white Toyota Camry with Maryland plates.
I’m excited to meet everyone!
See you at your door 😊
PS - Everyone in the sheriff's department is very friendly and polite. Secod time in South Dakota- loving it.

The court is ready for use! Sabrina helped paint out-of-bounds lines and do some touch-ups to fulfill NHS service hours. Good work!

Some of the NHS members fulfilled service hours this morning by painting lines for the elementary basketball court. Great job, ladies!

The juniors (and Tanner) line up one last time before they become seniors! Can't wait for next year! #greatkids

These last 2 days have been a blur! On Tuesday we created wind turbines in science. Today was bittersweet as I said goodbye to another school year and wished the best future for these adorable little ones. I will miss you all so very much! Happy summer vacation!

The National Honor Society members met today to vote for officers and plan ahead for the 2023-2024 school year. We are looking at expanding the opportunities and involvement for the members of NHS. They will be completing a community service project next year. If you have ideas for a project the students could complete, reach out to Mr. Johnson or any of the officers.
President: Berkeley Engelland
Vice President: Ashlyn Pranger
Secretary: Sabrina Strand
Thank you , Mr. Nelson. You made a difference and you will be missed.

The 3rd, 4th and 5th graders enjoyed frisbee golf and ice cream bars as their reward for doing so well on their Smarter Balance Test!
