In honor of "Month of the Military Child" in April, the VFW Post 2750 Auxiliary of Mitchell has teamed up with Logan Luxury Theaters and Community Sponsors to purchase tickets for our military kids in the area! Please see the attached on how to pick up your ticket.
Come support the Senior Class for their Senior Class Pancake Feed on Sunday April 10, 2022. Pancakes will be served from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm in the Mt Vernon School Commons.
Thanks to all the parents @ Mt. Vernon School and the wonderful staff for inviting us in to do the EZ ID kits for the students. This event was sponsored by the Mitchell Moose Lodge, Davison County Sheriff Department, Sharp Law Firm and Safe Surfin' Foundation. We reached 76 more children.
REMINDER - MVP Winter Athletic Banquet is Monday April 4th - 7:30 pm - Plankinton Gym. Roast Beef meal will be provided at a cost of $10 per plate. Please contact Sue - sue.stahl@k12.sd.us if you will be attending and need a meal. We will need this information by 3 pm today - Friday April 1st.

Reminder - The EZ ID Kit event is sponsored by the Moose Lodge 875 and Women of the Moose 1167 at the Mt Vernon School on March 23rd. This is brought through a partnership with the Safe Surfin' Foundation and Davison County Sheriff's Office.
Flyers with permission slips were sent home last week - in the event you did not receive one please use the attached. The forms need to be completed and returned to the school by Wednesday morning.
Flashdrives will be available for pick up by a parent later that day. These cannot be sent home with a minor child. If this flashdrive is lost it cannot be replaced without going through the process again as all information is deleted once transferred to the flashdrive. If you have any questions please contact the school.
Over the Holidays, Emily and Summer were able to raise over $800 for the Mount Vernon Backpack Blessings. The two students created Christmas decorations that were sold throughout the season. They presented the money today to Mrs. Klooz. We are very proud of these girls, nice work!
