Kindergarten has introduced eight sight words to their reading vocabulary, so this week they made Sight Word Spiders! Each leg represents a word we've practiced in the classroom. It was a fun way to show off what we know and practice those fine motor skills!
The precalculus students were working with equations involving annuities today. Tomorrow, they will start a finance project that will require them to learn about credit scores, interest rates, and mortgages.

2nd & 3rd Graders had an educational field trip to the local fire station today!
There has been a report of an active school shooter in the Mitchell community. This is not correct. This incident has been confirmed as a hoax by the Davison County Sheriff. The Mount Vernon School is safe and secure.
What a great way to start the day. These lucky students were chosen to have Donuts with the Principal. Their hard work, kindness, and positive attitudes are contagious.
