2nd grade has been working on a science unit based on a battery-powered robotic car. The car named "Indi" reads color tiles. It was our goal to get Indi to the end of at least 6 different color tiles without stopping. Students enjoyed testing their paths today.

There were some amazing lean-to presentations put on by the fourth grade class! Each one gathered materials from outside to created an original piece. Thank you to all the parents who helped by participating.

Emilee Fox has been chosen to receive our Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Award! Recipients of this award demonstrate the qualities of Dependability, Service, Leadership, and Patriotism and are chosen by the MVHS staff. Congratulations Emilee!

Attention Football Players and Parents
Pad hand in will be on Monday October 30th in Mount Vernon. Junior High and Seniors will hand in their pads after school. 9th, 10th, and 11th grade players will start handing their pads in at 5:30 pm. Immediately following there will be a Player/Parent meeting starting at 6:00pm for those in the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades.
**Expectations are that every player will be there at the appropriate times with ALL of their equipment.**

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming Janelle Miller in to demonstrate how to make chocolate spider webs. Students had a "Spook-tac-ular" time creating their own webs and eating them! Thank you Janelle!

In 8th grade guidance we are talking about things to do besides being on our phones or other electronics. So we decided to have a "Fun Friday" where everyone got to play a board game or cards with their classmates. A fun time was had by all!
